General Aviation Improved Navigation & Surveillance (GAINS) has been a 24-month project demonstrating how solutions developed by SESAR can be adapted for use by General Aviation (GA) - fixed wing and rotorcraft – enhancing the ability of GA to integrate operations in complex airspace without prohibitive cost or certification. The consortium reached out to manufacturers, aerodromes, regulators, private pilots and more to make it all happen.
