Airport operations generally, and airside operations specifically, are target areas for reducing disruption and delay. Achieving this will deliver financial, operational and environmental benefits, and will also improve the passenger experience. In this white paper, we describe how improving the predictability of airside activities will deliver these benefits and illustrate how they can be quantified.
The paper is based on analysis undertaken by Helios at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, which is adopting the latest techniques to improve operational efficiency. This initiative was part of its "Collaborative Decision Making (CDM)" project.
