The seat solution

100 passengers board an airplane with exactly 100 seats, which is destined for World ATM Congress in Madrid. Everyone has a ticket with an assigned seat number.

However, the first passenger has lost their ticket and takes a random seat. Every subsequent passenger attempts to choose their own seat, but takes a random seat if theirs is taken.

You bump into some colleagues in the airport lounge, meaning you are the very last passenger to board the plane. What is the probability that you will get your assigned seat?

The answer will be published in the next edition of ON AIR. Please send your solutions to [email protected].

All entries must be received by 30 April 2020. The first correct answer drawn at random after this date will win a pair of Helios wireless headphones. Good luck!

And the winner is…

The answer to the puzzle "Cube Conundrum?" is: 488 smaller cubes have blue paint. For the full answer, head to our website.

Congratulations to Celine Dubron of ESA, who sent the correct answer and came first in the draw.
