Air Traffic Control (ATC) services can represent a major cost for airports, many of which are already under great commercial pressure.
Sharing ATC services between several airports is one way in which they could reduce their costs, and potentially achieve other benefits such as improving the services they offer and overcoming common staffing issues.
This paper explains how ATC services could be shared between airports and offers a collaborative model that airport operators can use to achieve it.
